JMS has been chosen by the Houston Waterworks team to provide Mega-SETTLER (Plate Settler System) for the Houston Northeast Water Purification Plant Expansion.

This large project centers on expanding water capacity from 80 million gallons per day (mgd) to 400 mgd to support residential and commercial growth and reduce dependency on groundwater. The project will allow the city to quadruple its capability to create drinking water, and will be the largest water treatment project on the planet. Learn more about what the City of Houston has to say about the project and how it will impact the area.

JMS Mega-SETTLER (Plate Settler System) technology will dramatically reduce the footprint of the sedimentation basin needed to produce the desired quantities of water. “Our 100% stainless steel Mega-SETTLERs will provide many years of trouble free performance, and will be around as long as the plant itself. We are proud to be a part of this project,” said Kerry Dissinger, Vice President of JMS.

This will be the largest JMS Mega-SETTLER project to date and will be shipped over the next three and a half years. When complete, JMS will have used 4,000,000 lbs of steel to build over 50,000 individual plates.
