Bio-LIVEBOTTOM Live Bottom Discharger
Discharge material that does not want to flow.
High in moisture and contaminants, biosolids can be a heavy, wet, sticky and odorous material that is challenging to move and store. Solids like that stick to themselves, bridging over an outlet and rat-holing down the middle, so a vessel that still looks full stops discharging.
The JMS Bio-LIVEBOTTOM sets multiple feeding screws in parallel across the bottom of the vessel, each with its own drive, so material is drawn across the full width of the outlet rather than from one point. Every design starts from the biosolids profile it has to handle: moisture content, cohesiveness, shear strength and compressibility. Screws are flooded, shafted or shaftless, and keep material moving for loading onto a truck, pump, screw conveyor or bin.
Key features
- Designed for strongly cohesive solids prone to bridging, rat-holing and poor flowability
- Multiple feeding screws in parallel draw material across the full width of the outlet
- Each screw carries its own drive
- Flooded shafted or shaftless feeding screws
- Designs based on unique biosolids profiles, including moisture content, cohesiveness, shear strength and compressibility
- Keeps material moving for easy loading onto a truck, pump, screw conveyor or bins
